Advance Power User

To recognize SWE members committed to lifelong learning and reaching their full potential as engineers and leaders, we’ve introduced the SWE Advance Power User challenge!  

How Do You Become the SWE Advance Power User?  

Four SWE Advance Power Users are recognized each calendar year. The SWE member who has completed the most Advance Learning Center courses in earnest during the following times is recognized as a SWE Advance Power User:  

• January 1 to March 31 – Power User announced mid-April
• April 1 to June 30 – Power User announced mid-July
• July 1 to September 30 – Power User announced mid-October
  
• October 1 to December 31 – Power User announced mid-January

What Do SWE ADVANCE Power Users Receive?  

• A WE Annual Conference registration grant to be used in the same year or following year that you are recognized 
• Digital bragging rights - a SWE Advance Power User digital badge to add to your email signature and LinkedIn profile 
• A virtual professional headshot 
• Recognition through SWE’s Advance Learning Center newsletter and on social media 

Rules & Regulations

• Must be active SWE members.
• Members are allowed to win one time every three years.
• Registrations for special programs (SHLA, CLI, and ALWE) do not count.
• In order for courses to be counted, you must earn a certificate for each course by completing it in its entirety, and in earnest (length of time watched will be verified). 
• Winners will be notified via the email address associated with their SWE login. If a winner does not respond to the notification email within seven (7) days, they will be disqualified, and an alternate winner will be selected.
• No substitution, exchange, or transfer of awards or cash equivalent is permitted.
