    I purchased this shock mount for a Gefell UM70 with a ~25mm body diameter. Peluso makes a shock mount designed for that type of microphone that looks very similar to this product. I have not used the Peluso but this product looks nearly identical from the photos (the Peluso costs $57+shipping). It works well, holds the mic securely, and feels sturdy enough for me. The thumbscrew that sets the mount's pivot angle takes a bit of effort to tighten enough to keep the mount in position, but it will stay put once you've put in the work. Overall a great value if you have need for a shock mount of this particular size.

      The quality of this product is decent and once you figure out how it works, it's easy enough to put a microphone in and take it out. I have no issues with my microphone falling out of the mount.

      I write this review as someone who has actually never used a microphone prior to buying this product. I bought a new mic alongside this product so was figuring out how shock mounts work. To be honest, it's not the most user friendly for someone like me who doesn't know how things like this work.

      I actually had to look up a YouTube guide for shock mounts to figure out how this thing opens. I could not see that there were two ends of a clamp that I had to squeeze to expand. Once I finally realized it, it was easy; however, I think this product could use a bit of polish whether that's the product itself or a nice, easy-to-follow quick-start guide for someone who might not be familiar with products like this.

      I'm old school! I use a Shure SM58S (has ON/OFF switch) for all of my voice over work. This shock mount from LYRCRO works great and holds my mic firmly. The shock mount is very well made. The outer cage is metallic and so are the clips. The elastic band has just the right amount of strength to hold the entire thing together. I especially like the 3/8" and 5/8" adapter that allows this to mount to nearly any boom arm or mic stand. There is also some padded foam on the grip to prevent it from scratching my mic. My favorite feature is that I can still get to the ON/OFF switch.
