◎ A to-do list, built for plant care
Stay on top of watering, fertilizing, and repotting with a checklist designed for how plant care really works. PlantPal helps you fly through your most important days and keeps everything organized when life gets hectic.
◎ More than a checklist
Set repeating tasks so your plants get cared for automatically. Snooze tasks when you’re running behind, and jump back into schedule without losing track.
◎ Photo Journal
Turn plant care into a growth story. Save updates with a photo journal and look back on every new leaf, bloom, and change over time. It makes progress easy to spot and great to review.
◎ Organized Plant Collection
Add and sort plants by room or group so you always know what’s where. No more guessing where you put that succulent or which plants need attention next.
◎ Smart Task Planner
Caring for multiple plants at once is easier with built-in rest days. Tell PlantPal your work days, and it will show tasks only when you want to focus, helping you keep a steady routine without burnout.
◎ PlantPal Library
Search for plants and find basic care tips fast. This lightweight library includes start guidance for a wide range of common houseplants, so you can care with confidence.
◎ iCloud Sync
Keep your plant data up to date across your iPhone and iPad with secure, private iCloud sync.
◎ Optimized for iPad
Enjoy a true iPad experience with a triple-column layout that makes it easy to manage tasks and your collection at a glance. Works great with Split View and multi-window support when you want to use PlantPal alongside other apps.
◎ Privacy first
PlantPal runs offline for a fast, responsive experience. Sync uses only iCloud, with no third-party servers running in the background.
Simplify houseplant care and stay consistent from one new leaf to the next. Download PlantPal and let it guide your routine.
I’ve tried many plant care apps and most fall short. There are plenty out there that use faulty algorithms to determine watering frequency. There are just too many variables for these apps to get it right and I think those algorithms are worse than useless, hindering your ability to learn when watering is actually needed, and likely will lead to significant overwatering. Instead, this app does a great job of cataloging your collection and keeping track of ad-hoc and recurring tasks. You set the frequency but you can also look back and see your frequency averages, helping you to adjust care schedules as needed. A couple things I would love to see: 1) plant count. Would be fun to see this number rather than needing to manually count. 2) search feature for searching your own plants. If you have large collections and move plants around, sometimes it can take a lot of scrolling to find the plant in your collection you are looking for. 3) expanded plant library. The current library is somewhat limited.

Hi Beckela, thank you for the kind words and glad you love PlantPal! As a daytime data scientist, I personally know it’s impossible to predict when my plants need water—there are just so many factors to take in. That’s exactly why I built the app. I’ve taken notes on your suggestions. Thank you and happy planting!
Best plant care app!

I used to use Planta but got sick of being given ads for their products or their premium features (worse yet, being told “your plant looks unhealthy and needs Dr. Planta!”) I tried many apps and this is by far my favorite! I love the clean, simple interface and it has all the features I was looking for and none of the distractions. My favorite part is the widget I can put on the Home Screen so I never forget about my tasks for the day. I’ve also provided feedback to the developer about future features I’d like to see included and they were very courteous. I paid a one time fee for lifetime premium which I was happy to do. I’m a convert!

I’ve been using this app for my plants since the end of January, and it has quickly become my favorite! I love that I can set up custom schedules for each plant, and adding my old photos for tracking was super easy—you can upload multiple at once. The app is simple, clean, and focused on tracking without any unnecessary extras. The layout is great too!One thing I’d suggest is adding an option to view all locations on one page you can scroll through. Right now, when I assign plants to a location, the list jumps away, which makes it harder to see everything at once. I personally use locations to group plants with different light requirements, but I’d still like a “my plants” style view where everything is shown together, just grouped by location.Overall, I definitely recommend this app if you’re looking for an easy, no-frills plant tracker!Update (August 24, 2025): This is still my favorite—I use it every day and love it. 🌱❤️
Awesome App

This app is awesome. The UI is beautifully simple and I love how it looks right now. I can add plants and have their watering schedules for free. I really love how the app looks so I am paying the extra 99 cents a month (very reasonable price) for the other features such as fertilizer schedules and so on. This app is literally exactly what I would create as a software engineer and envision as a plabt tracker logging app so I am glad it is already on the app store. One thing I would add to make the app better is if it could sync between my iphone and ipad… as of right now it does not :(

Hi there, thank you for the kind words and I’m glad you enjoy PlantPal as much as we do!Regarding cloud sync — yes the app does sync via iCloud, and it’s on by default as long as you enable iCloud on both devices and have signed into the same iCloud account. Would you be able to shoot us an email at hi@plantpal.net so that we can help further? You can include a screenshot of the iCloud sync status that you can find in the App’s Preferences tab.
Hello, plant parents! This update adds new features and improvements:
◎ Plant Widget — Pin a plant to your Home Screen
Add a new Home Screen widget to pin any plant from your collection. Tap the widget to open the plant directly — an easy way to keep your favorite plant front and center.
◎ Bug fixes & improvements
• More repeat options for tasks — choose 1–30 days, 1–20 weeks, or 1–12 months. The stepper now stays within the chosen unit (no more jumping between days/weeks/months).
• Fixed random thumbnail changes when multiple photos were in a plant note.
• Fixed typos and incomplete AI-generated text across the app and plant library.
Enjoy the update! Send feedback or suggestions — happy planting!
