At the end of each week, I usually collate a lightly edited collection of recent comments I’ve made on social media, which I think of as my public scratch pad. I tag on what books I may have finished reading. Knowing I’ll revisit my social media posts, I’ve found, serves as a positive and mellowing influence on my online activity. I mostly hang out on Mastodon (at post.lurk.org/@disquiet), and I’m also trying out a few others. And I generally take weekends off social media.
▰ Yeah, at this point I’m more likely to email or text a friend than, out of the blue, call ’em (versus scheduling time to do so in advance), but I did just call a friend out of the blue … because for some reason my iPhone (temporarily?) couldn’t send texts to his Android phone.
▰ It often seems like every bit of advice the Wordle Bot provides can be rewritten as, “If you’d chosen a word closer to the random word that is the answer you would have done better.“
▰ Current status:

▰ Finished reading nothing. Wrote a lot. And judging but the paucity of posts above, I also wasn’t on social media much.
