You will find a link in the <em>Documents<\/em> menu where you can access these settings.<\/p>\n<p>After you have installed and activated the Documentation plugin, we recommend to visit the <strong>Settings &gt; Permalinks<\/strong> page on your WordPress Dashboard. It is also recommended to do that in case you have changed the <em>Document slug<\/em> option described below. You don&#8217;t need to modify anything there, just visit the page. Occasionally it is necessary to do this to avoid 404 Not Found errors when you have installed a new plugin which creates its own post types.<\/p>\n<p>Go to\u00a0<strong id=\"settings\">Documents &gt; Settings<\/strong> and review the following settings:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Allow comments on documents<\/li>\n<li>Document slug<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8107\" src=\"http:\/\/docs.itthinx.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Documentation-Settings.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1023\" height=\"405\" srcset=\"https:\/\/docs.itthinx.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Documentation-Settings.png 1023w, https:\/\/docs.itthinx.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Documentation-Settings-300x119.png 300w, https:\/\/docs.itthinx.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Documentation-Settings-768x304.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1023px) 100vw, 1023px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Allow comments on documents<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If enabled, visitors are allowed to post comments on documents unless the\u00a0<em>Allow comments<\/em>\u00a0setting on a document is disabled. Click\u00a0<em>Screen Options<\/em>\u00a0and check the\u00a0<em>Comments<\/em>\u00a0option if you do not see the\u00a0<em>Discussion<\/em>\u00a0panel where this setting appears.<\/p>\n<p>If this option is disabled, comments on all documents are disabled.<\/p>\n<p><em>Document slug<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This determines the prefix in your site\u2019s path where all of the site\u2019s documents are pending from. The default is\u00a0<em>document<\/em>\u00a0and you will see this depending on how your Permalinks are set up.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-8110\" src=\"http:\/\/docs.itthinx.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Settings-Permalinks.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"210\" \/>Visit\u00a0<strong>Settings &gt; Permalinks<\/strong>\u00a0after changing this to make sure that the site\u2019s permalink structure is updated and reflects the change.
