Bayerische Medien Technik GmbH

At DVB World 2026, bmt will present DVB-I EASY, a cloud-based or on-premise solution for creating, editing and aggregating DVB-I service lists. DVB-I EASY offers among many other features regionalization by postcode or region and provides upload functionalities for LCN tables, region definitions, and tuning parameters.

Eutelsat Group

Eutelsat is a global leader in satellite communications, delivering connectivity and broadcast services worldwide. At DVB World 2026, Eutelsat will be showcasing its latest hybrid solutions based on DVB-NIP and DVB-I.

The Native IP demo highlights how the DVB-NIP standard can deliver a broadband-like TV and video experience via satellite, without needing an internet connection. Presenting a completely productised Direct-to-Home solution, offering both live TV and VoD via satellite, the demo is based on an ENENSYS Mediacast DVB-NIP Platform, EasyBroadcast’s encoding and packaging system, and EKT receivers with integrated DVB-NIP gateway. The service is accessible through a “white label” mobile app on Android and iOS, providing an experience similar to streaming platforms. Viewers can also enjoy the same content on a regular TV using the HDMI output of the EKT set-top box. Metadata is provided by Babeleye, SimplyTV and MyZenTV, and content discovery by EasyBroadcast.

In addition, Eutelsat will be showcasing DVB-I with Sat.tv Connect, the enhanced Free-to-Air TV programme guide that enables easier channel discovery and navigation. Combining a local-first philosophy with thematic groupings of channels, Sat.tv Connect uses the DVB-I and HbbTV standards to enable unified and transparent content discovery, providing service lists by country, region or language and enriched, multilingual EPGs to enhance the viewing experience.

Optimized Energy Aware Streaming

InterDigital is at the forefront of video innovation, empowering new capabilities, services, and experiences. With the increasing consumption of video content and the proliferation of streaming platforms, we are dedicated to developing new technologies that increase the energy efficiency of video services while maintaining premium quality for users.

At DVB World 2026, InterDigital will present insights on energy-aware streaming opportunities, made possible by our AI-enabled Pixel Value Reduction technology.

OnScreen Publishing

OnScreen Publishing will be showcasing its complete, proven DVB-I Metadata Manager. This system is designed for all stages in the DVB-I journey, from feasibility and proof of concept then on to commercial trials and fully live working. We will be showing how the Metadata Manager can be used to aggregate your data sources – channel management, schedules and on demand systems – to create a compelling hybrid TV platform.

This year we will also be demonstrating the work we’ve been doing with Yotta Media to bring native DRM to DVB-I.

ST Engineering iDirect

At DVB World, ST Engineering iDirect will demonstrate a live DVB-NIP transmission chain using its DVB-NIP portfolio – including the MCX8000 multi-carrier platform and the MDM5010 high-throughput modulator. Multicast IP streams are encapsulated in GSE-HEM or MPE, modulated into a DVB-S2X carrier, and received by a set-top box for seamless multi-screen playback across TV, smartphone, tablet, and PC.

The demonstration proves that native IP broadcasting over satellite is commercially viable, scalable up to 800 Mbps, and capable of delivering both live and on-demand services while preserving broadcast-grade reliability and enabling flexible deployment models. The MCX8000 enables operators to run native IP services alongside traditional broadcast workflows on a unified infrastructure, providing flexibility for phased migration strategies.

Preview of DTV+/TV3.0 video delivery in Brazil OTA and OTT

2026 is the year of the commercial launch of DTV+/TV3.0, the new Brazilian TV system that is meant to change the way broadcasting works. In this demo, we show a preview of the video delivery system, powered by a combination of VVC and LCEVC, delivering 4K HDR quality at 8-10 Mbps. The demo will feature production-ready equipment, with broadcast-relevant content.

Yotta Media

Yotta Media will showcase advances in Native License Acquisition within the DVB‑I Service List, demonstrating the latest concepts and practical options available for broadcasters.

We will also present Yotta MediaBox Pro, our software-defined solution designed for long‑tail broadcasters using Yotta Datacenter’s native infrastructure.

Our third demonstration will feature Yotta’s DVB‑I Service List Registry and Service List Discovery Service, developed in alignment with ongoing discussions within the CM‑I group. This hosted service is intended as a trial to encourage meaningful discussion and feedback. It enables operators of SLRs and SLs to configure their service endpoints and allows DVB‑I clients across the ecosystem to discover DVB‑I services by different suggested categories.

Any company that would like to exhibit DVB World 2026 can do so by choosing the “exhibitor” option when registering for the event. The fee for DVB Member companies is €3,000; for non-members it’s €4,000.

  • The exhibition space will be open throughout the afternoon on 17 March, with several coffee breaks when participants can visit. It will remain open all day on 18 March, when the unconference format means participants will be free to move around the venue throughout the day, providing ample opportunities to visit the exhibition area.

On the afternoon of 17 March, we will offer a conference programme of keynotes, panel discussions, technology updates and quickfire briefings.

On 18 March, we will shift to smaller groups in focused discussions on topics proposed by participants. You can read more about this unconference format here. It has proved highly popular with DVB World attendees in the past four years and has served as a source of new ideas and energy for DVB’s working groups.

A wiki is available for suggesting unconference sessions ahead of the event. It’s not mandatory but it can help people to prepare for the discussions and may encourage others to attend.

DVB World 2026 will commence with a light lunch at 12:00 on Tuesday 17 March, when the exhibition area will also open. The conference programme will kick off at 13:00 and will run until 18:30, when all participants will be invited to attend a social gathering in our event venue.

The opening circle for the unconference day will begin at 09:00 on Wednesday 18 March, with sessions running throughout the day. The closing circle will end at 17:00 and will be followed by an apéritif to mark the end of the event, when DVB’s 2026 Honorary Fellowship will also be presented.

No. This is a physical event that will be neither streamed nor recorded.

All those who wish to be involved with the event must register as either a participant, a supporter or an exhibitor. This applies also to trade journalists, who are welcome to attend and participate.

Anyone reporting on the event should ensure that participants in the unconference are not quoted without their permission – conversations will be “off the record” unless the contrary has been confirmed. This does not apply to statements made during conference presentations on the opening day.

Keep it casual! (Or whatever works best for you.)
