I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the ICANN85 Community Forum. In total, 1,517 people attended ICANN85 in person, including 332 first-time attendees, and 678 people participated virtually. The Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) advises the ICANN Board on public issues, particularly in areas where ICANN policies intersect with both national laws and international agreements. On 12 March 2026, the ICANN Board of Directors approved the standard Registry Agreement (RA) that applicants in the New gTLD Program: 2026 Round would enter into with ICANN, should their application be successful.
