Pretty fun! The gameplay is nice and simple. Visuals are nice too. Adding some music, SFX and some visual flair would definitely make the game even better tho. Good work!

I'm pretty sure Construct, Gamemaker or GDevelop are pretty easy game engines for beginners if that's what you're looking for!

Also another thing, there seems to be a bug in the game where the upgrades don't reset after you lose, which explains why you still had enhanced dig speed after going bankrupt

It's a horror walking simulator maze game

The game's pretty slow tho so things might take a while to happen, I also recommend checking out the txt file on the downloads (it covers all the spooky entities in the game if you wanna know more about them)

You can use previous game ideas, yeah, as long as most of the game itself is made within the jam period.

Thanks! The game was supposed to close itself when you die, but the code didn't work, so it's just a black screen. As for the objective, the game is mostly about walking around and seeing cool entities until you find the exit.

Thank you! The reason you probably didn't find the exit is because it's supposed to spawn very far away from the player, to give you time to see all the content before you beat the game. The idea is sorta for you to walk around aimlessly and see all the entities and events that can happen.

This is a really sweet game. It's really creative and I love the visuals. The little upgrades you buy and the stuff that happens during the game are a really unique twist on counting sheep. I recommend it 100%. One issue I ran into tho is that sometimes the audio would lag when there were too many sheep. Other than that a 9/10 game easily.

Thank you! The screen turning black most likely means you died, originally it was supposed to close your game when you die but it didn't work for some reason. The only way to restart the game would be refreshing the page.

Yeah I'd 100% buy this as a full game. As a jam game it was already fantastic, imagine as a full game!

Hmm, that's weird. You know you can move the camera around to get the Xs off-screen, right? Otherwise I have no idea why X's aren't spawning correctly.

I kind of agree. The thing is, the game is pretty slow intentionally, which is why it was boring to you. 

I also think I could've made it more clear when you die, but yeah you died.

That's weird tho, Familiar doesn't really kill you or deal any damage. But if the screen went black then it means you died.
