The Launching Pad was a bar located in San Francisco on Earth during the 24th century.
Benjamin Sisko frequented The Launching Pad when he was a cadet at Starfleet Academy. One night, he and his friends were there when Solok and several other Vulcan cadets arrived, claiming that they were researching "illogical Human bonding rituals". Sisko began disputing Solok's view that Vulcans were "superior to Humans and other emotionally handicapped species." Under the influence of alcohol, he challenged Solok to a wrestling match and was easily defeated by the much stronger Vulcan. (DS9: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite")
By 3195, the Launching Pad was long gone. At the same site was another cadet bar, The Academy. (SA: "Series Acclimation Mil")
