Shorpy

The Shorpy photo archive has been posting historic images online since 2007. Our holdings include hundreds of glass and film negatives/transparencies that we've scanned ourselves; in addition, many other photos on the site were extracted from reference images in the Library of Congress research archive.  Why Patreon Keeping Shorpy running is a full-time job for Dave and Ken. Adjusting, restoring and reworking images for the site takes a significant amount of time. In addition, there are a lot of expenses that go into running Shorpy. From website hosting and backups to computer hardware and software, the costs add up.  We also like Patreon because it allows us to offer something in return for your contribution.
