🗞️This edition of the Posit AI newsletter is a little different. Because we had to prepare it ahead of a website migration and couldn't predict the news, we put together a brief timeline of how Posit has thought about coding agents for data science. Read here: https://lnkd.in/ebzKwK9p

EDA on Snowflake just got a massive upgrade. ❄️✨ We’re thrilled to announce the new Snowflake Skill for Databot, now available in the Posit Team Native App. We’ve brought Posit’s best-in-class AI tools directly into the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. With the new Databot Snowflake Skill, your AI assistant now: ✅ Connects via natural language. ✅ Understands your business's specific semantic models. ✅ Operates entirely within the Snowflake AI Data Cloud. Databot isn't a replacement for the data scientist, it’s the turbocharger for your exploratory data analysis. Jupyter notebooks are the undisputed standard for data exploration. But sometimes it can be hard to get others using your work when it’s stuck in a notebook on your laptop. Watch the full session here: https://lnkd.in/eaT6YuG3 and let us know what you think in the comments! Join us for a live Q&A session on April 1st at 11:30am ET to talk more about it: https://lnkd.in/eSZVNRxK

"Are you gonna do your best work if no one's watching?" Nell Thomas (VP of Data at Shopify) leads a 400-person data org. And she makes a point we don't hear enough: the quality of your audience matters as much as the quality of your work. She compares data teams to theatre. It's about people actually engaging with the material, pushing back, asking hard questions, contributing ideas. That feedback loop is what makes the work get better over time. And here's the flip side: If your data team is producing analysis that nobody's really scrutinizing? That's not a team problem. That's a culture problem. The work can only be as good as the attention it receives. It's a simple idea that changes how you think about building data culture. When someone from Pfizer speaks, we listen. 👀 Sam P., data scientist at Pfizer, put it perfectly — Positron strikes the ideal balance between VS Code and RStudio. If you're a data scientist still toggling between IDEs, Positron might just be the tool you didn't know you were waiting for. Have you tried it yet? Drop your thoughts below 👇 or download Positron here: https://lnkd.in/gVjrDp4Y #DataScience #Positron #RStudio #VSCode #DataTools #Pfizer

48 hours until we go live. ⏳ Cindy Tong and Wasim Lorgat will demonstrate a zero-config Jupyter workflow: from opening an existing .ipynb file and filtering data visually, to deploying a live application.. Save your seat: https://lnkd.in/dSz8Tk_4

Last week we introduced Posit AI. Here's what that actually means for your workflow. Most AI tools for data science operate as black boxes — you get a suggestion, you accept it, and you hope it's right. Posit AI is different. It's built directly into RStudio and works with your live session. That means it: → Sees the data and objects you're already working with → Generates code you can read, inspect, and modify → Produces reproducible workflows, not one-off outputs This isn't AI that replaces your judgment. It's AI that shows its work. If you're a data scientist who's been skeptical of AI copilots because they don't understand your context, this was built for you. 👉 See what Posit AI can do: https://lnkd.in/eDHmtw_s #PositAI #RStats #DataScience #RStudio #OpenSourceAI
