Sii’s balloon has conquered the stratosphere! Aleks, a Software Engineer at the Embedded Competence Center, combined work with passion and sent a stratospheric balloon equipped with sensors and a camera to an altitude of more than 24 000 meters! This project required learning new technologies, such as radio systems (LoRa, RTTY), which are integral to Aleks’ daily work. For people with passion, anything is possible!
Do you know how much you can experience in just one breath? This group of enthusiasts wanted to find out and joined a community founded by a medalist, Michał Bochenek, the vice-champion of Poland in freediving. Freediving is an extraordinary competitive sport that combines body and mind control with the joy of diving without heavy equipment. As part of the Passion Sponsorship Program, the Sii Freediving group has organized training in the deepest European pool – Deepspot in Mszczonow. Hold your breath and find out how Power People pushed the limits of their abilities!
Do you know what motivates runners to push their limits? The answer is known to 75 Power People, who participated wholeheartedly in the #SiiBiegaDobrze project! Runners chose either the 10 km or marathon distance to face not only physical challenges but also to support a worthy charity cause.
They raised more than PLN 68,000 for the Rak’n’Roll Foundation! For some it was the first step towards a new passion, for others, it was a struggle to break personal records, but all ran with one thing in mind: to support the foundation’s beneficiaries.
To make the dreams come true and see the highest peak in Europe – beautiful Mt. Blanc group of 12 Power People hiked through France, Italy and Switzerland in just nine days, covering 180 kilometers and 10,000 meters in elevation! This trip not only provided them with incredible memories, but also brought the participants closer by building strong bonds that will stay with them for a long time. With the support of the Passion Sponsorship Program, our Power People proved that even the highest peaks can be conquered together!
What does the world look like from the height of a horse’s back? We answer – much better! Sii Horse Riding Team has proven that nothing brings people together and builds bonds quite like riding adventures. As part of our Passion Sponsorship program, we’ve been organizing riding camps for 2 years now, giving people from all Sii branches the chance to meet and bond over horseback riding adventures.
