Immediately after the company was founded, STRG In 2003, we developed an object-relational database system. The goal was to merge object-oriented programming with relational databases. Our customers' systems are still operated with it today. In 2008, we began semantically classifying content and our first research project. In 2014, we first considered using neural networks and opened ourselves to the world of artificial intelligence. A passion our founders had already brought with them from university work and art projects in the 1990s. Finally, it was possible; we finally had the necessary computing power. In 2017, we launched our system. STRG.behave, which enables the mapping of behavioral economics principles into evolutionary algorithms. We received significant support from the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and the University of Applied Sciences in St. Pölten. In 2021, we submitted a research proposal on the use of AI agents with reinforcement learning to automatically improve e-commerce portals and simulate user data. Since 2023, this system has been available under the name STRG.agents in practice. We collaborate with many universities and other research institutions, authoring recognized and published papers. In 2023, we had the honor of presenting our work at the Conceptual Modeling Conference in Lisbon. We are currently working intensively on causal AI and reasoning.
