Wondering about a Parking hold?

Parking holds come off of accounts automatically about 30 to 40 minutes after all tickets on the account have been paid. If you've just paid your tickets, be patient, it will disappear soon!

Office Hours

Transportation Services office is open Monday through Friday year-round, except when the university is closed.

Mon – Thu, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fri, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Summer Parking

During the summer session, yellow zones require permits through July 25, but all housing zones are open and free to park (green, brown, orange, pink). All other zones (red, blue, gold) and parking garages are restricted and require permits or hourly payment year-round.

Free Buses

All KU and Lawrence Transit buses continue to be fare-free in 2025. Route and schedule information for both systems is together on the Lawrence Transit website. Watch for upcoming route changes starting August 1.
