    Hi,

I’m looking to display a specific story using the shortcode [web_stories]. I can’t find any documentation about this shortcode.

    I’m currently using this one [web_stories title=”false” excerpt=”false” author=”false” date=”false” archive_link=”true” archive_link_label=”” circle_size=”80″ sharp_corners=”false” image_alignment=”left” number_of_columns=”1″ number_of_stories=”1″ order=”ASC” orderby=”post_date” view=”circles” scrolling=”no” /]
I’d like to specify a story using its ID

How can I do it ?

    Thanks you,
    Kimy

Hi there, thanks for reaching out.

To display a single story, you can reference it by its URL:

    [web_stories_embed url="https://wp.stories.google/stories/how-to-optimize-videos-for-web-stories/" width="360" height="600" title="How to optimize videos for Web Stories" ]

For more options, I recommend using the Web Stories block.

    See https://wp.stories.google/docs/best-practices/#Embeds to learn more.

@swissspidy Thank you, but I’d like to display it as a circle design, it’s not possible with this shortcode right ?

    Thanks

No, this is not possible with the shortcode. It can be done with the Web Stories block, which is the recommended way to embed stories in general.
