We're excited to unveil ARIN's refreshed logo — our first update in 24 years. The new design features three right-pointing arrows that represent the three areas of ARIN's service region (Canada, the United States, and parts of the Caribbean) and symbolize our mission to move the Internet forward by supporting its growth and stability. While our visual identity evolves, our commitment to the community and our core mission remain unchanged. We're honored to serve you and excited to embrace the future together. Why Network Operators Should Attend ARIN's RPKI Session at TORNOG 1 ... Route hijacks and leaks aren't hypothetical threats — they're affecting networks right now. Yet many operators hesitate to deploy Resource Public Key Infrastructure (RPKI) because of legitimate questions about risk, complexity, and where to begin. That's exactly why Brad Gorman's session at TORNOG 1 on 13 April is designed to meet real-world operators where you're at. What Makes This Session Different: 🎯 Operator-Safe Approach Brad focuses on cautious, practical deployment strategies — not aggressive timelines or unrealistic expectations. 🎯 Real Questions, Real Answers "What does RPKI actually protect against?" "How risky is it to deploy in production?" "Where should I start — ROAs or validators?" "What are the common pitfalls?" 🎯 Operations Over Theory This isn't a deep dive into RFC specifications. It's practical guidance from someone who works daily on routing security implementation. 🎯 Realistic Expectations You'll leave understanding what RPKI can and cannot do, with a clear path forward that fits your risk tolerance. Who Should Attend? This session is ideal for: - Network engineers evaluating RPKI - ISP operators responsible for routing security - Anyone who's heard about RPKI but hasn't deployed it yet - Teams looking for a cautious, step-by-step approach About Brad Gorman: As ARIN's Director of Customer Technical Services, Brad Gorman is the community resource for RPKI, the Internet Routing Registry (IRR), and other topics and services that impact routing security within the ARIN region and throughout the greater Internet ecosystem. He understands the operational realities and constraints you face. Event Details: 📅 Monday, 13 April 2026 📍 TORNOG 1, Toronto ⏰ 45-minute session (1:30-2:15 PM ET) TORNOG 1 is the Toronto Network Operators Group's inaugural full-day conference — a day of peer learning, networking, and practical knowledge sharing. The ARIN 57 Fellowship journey has begun! 🌟 Yesterday, our cohort of 15 Fellows participated in the first of four virtual preparatory sessions for the ARIN 57 Public Policy and Members Meeting. Session 1 Highlights: The Fellows jumped right in with quick introductions, sharing where they're from, what they do, and what they hope to learn from the Fellowship Program. It was inspiring to hear the diverse interests and motivations that brought this group together — from understanding Internet governance to contributing Caribbean perspectives to gaining hands-on policy experience. Following introductions, Fellows broke into small groups with their assigned Mentors from the ARIN Advisory Council. These mentor-led discussions explored initial thoughts on the Policy Development Process, questions from the pre-session videos, and how ARIN's work connects to each Fellow's professional interests. WHAT'S NEXT? Over the next three weeks, Fellows will participate in three more virtual sessions covering: - Deep dives into ARIN's operations and services - Detailed exploration of the Policy Development Process - Review of policies on the ARIN 57 docket - Preparation for active participation in the meeting This preparation culminates in the ARIN 57 Public Policy and Members Meeting on 19-22 April, which Fellows will attend either in person in Louisville or virtually. We're excited to support these 15 individuals as they grow into active participants in the ARIN community. Stay tuned for more updates as the Fellowship Program progresses! Interested in future Fellowship opportunities? Applications for ARIN 58 will open this summer.
