Germany will host the European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC) 2026 in Bochum! From 12-16 October 2026, around 500 participants are expected at the RuhrCongress Bochum, with finalists competing in up to 45 national teams after national selections across Europe. ECSC is Europe's flagship competition for young cybersecurity talent, supported by European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and European Cybersecurity Competence Centre (ECCC). This is a strong signal for cybersecurity skills development in Germany and for Bochum as a growing cyber hub. www.ecsc2021.cz Despite significant disruptions due to COVID-19 protective measures, the Czech hosts managed to host an exciting ECSC2021 final for 19 teams from Europe. Team Germany won ahead of the strong Polish team and the once again inspiring Italian team.

ECSC2022 - www.ecsc2022.eu At the ECSC2022 finals in Vienna, Austria, teams from 29 European countries and guest teams from the USA, Canada, Israel, and the UAE competed. At the end of two exciting days of competition, Team Denmark emerged victorious ahead of Team Germany and a strong Team France.

ECSC 2024 - Italia / Torino - www.ecsc2024.it The European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC) 2024 Finals took place in Turin (Torino), Italy, 8–11 October 2024, hosted by the Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and CINI Cybersecurity National Lab, with support from ENISA and the European Commission. Set at the impressive OGR – Officine Grandi Riparazioni, the event brought together 31 EU/EFTA national teams plus guest teams and observers, making it the largest ECSC edition to date (40 countries involved overall). After two days of on-site CTF competition, Germany won ECSC2024, followed by Italy (2nd) and Poland (3rd)—a strong finish to an edition that combined high-level technical challenges with a vibrant European community experience.

ECSC 2025 - www.ecsc2025.pl The European Cybersecurity Challenge 2025 Finals in Warsaw brought Europe’s top young cyber talent together for four intense days (6–9 October 2025) of hands-on Capture-the-Flag competition, collaboration, and community-building. Hosted in Poland by NASK with the support of ENISA, the event welcomed 39 teams representing EU Member States, EFTA countries, EU candidate countries, plus guest teams and observers—highlighting how fast the ECSC community is growing. On the scoreboard, amazing Team Italy took 1st place, followed by strong Team Denmark (2nd) and "nearly" alltime winner Team Germany (3rd). Beyond the arena, ECSC2025 emphasized learning and connection—“We hack. We compete. We connect.”—and even included a dedicated Female+ Bootcamp (10–11 October) to strengthen diversity and mentorship pathways in cybersecurity.
