European Cybersecurity Challenge 2026 in Bochum, Germany

About us

The European Cybersecurity Challenge (ECSC) is Europe’s annual cybersecurity championship, bringing together national teams of 10 young talents (aged 14–25) for on-site Capture-the-Flag (CTF) competitions, networking, and skills development. It is an ENISA and ECCC -supported initiative, promoted by the European Commission and EU Member States, and contributes to Europe’s broader cybersecurity skills and capacity-building objectives. Operational governance is provided by the ECSC Steering Committee, with one official representative from each participating EU/EFTA country, while an Executive Committee (ExeCom) runs day-to-day activities on behalf of the Steering Committee; Across its ecosystem of national qualifiers and related training activities, ECSC has grown into one of Europe’s most impactful cybersecurity capacity-building efforts, reaching tens of thousands participants across Europe every year
