Speed offers no sanctuary for drones operating against Leonidas' electromagnetic interference. Leonidas defeats fast-moving drone targets with high-power microwave energy enabled by its active electronically scanned array, high-speed gimbaling and real-time targeting software. Rapid maneuvers and complex flight patterns are no match for software-defined HPM.

It's not every day you get to watch a swarm of drones get dropped out of the sky with a single burst of energy. We're all seeing how quickly drones have reshaped the battlefield. In places like Ukraine and with what's going on across the Middle East, low-cost drones are being used at scale to overwhelm traditional air defenses. Interceptors built for missiles and aircraft are now being forced to deal with threats that can built in your backyard. A few months ago, I was introduced to Epirus, a defense company taking a very different approach to the threat of drones. Their Leonidas system uses high-power microwaves to disable entire groups of drones at once. No interceptors, no kinetic hits. Just energy. Seeing it in person was quite surreal, and in our latest of episode of Access Granted, we break it all down and put Leonidas to test. 🎬 Full video is live now on YouTube. The rise of drone swarms is quickly becoming one of the most complex challenges on the modern battlefield. Dozens of low-cost, often homemade systems that are fast, scalable, and extremely difficult to defend against. So the million-dollar question (likely billion-dollar question) becomes... how do you stop them? Well the team at Epirus thinks they have the answer. One that doesn’t rely on traditional kinetic defenses, but instead uses directed energy to neutralize threats. In the latest episode of Access Granted, we're getting up close to this technology to test this system and see it take on a live drone swarm in real time. 🎬 Full video at the link below: https://lnkd.in/gw95-HzG

NEW: Leonidas Autonomous Ground Vehicle (AGV) debuts at AUSA’s Global Force. Built in partnership with General Dynamics Land Systems + Kodiak, Leonidas AGV is a mobile, autonomously-driven counter-UAS system pairing Epirus' Leonidas HPM platform with Kodiak’s AI-powered driving system for multi-service critical point defense and homeland security missions.

We sat down with Arena Magazine for a wide-ranging interview on the rise of Sixth Domain warfare, the impact of asymmetric, mass-scale drone attacks on the cost asymmetry of conflict and how the Leonidas high-power microwave platform can defend critical assets and infrastructure in the drone age.

CNBC: "Epirus CEO Andy Lowery: Our system works like a forcefield for defense." The current threat environment underscores the urgent need for scalable, cost-effective counter-UAS solutions. With an unlimited magazine and instantaneous effects, high-power microwave allows operators to address saturation swarm attacks without expending high-end interceptors better reserved for more sophisticated aerial threats.

The conflict in the Middle East has proven again that we need to take drone defense in the homeland seriously. And fast. Today, Epirus CEO Andy Lowery took part in a closed-door roundtable with the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security's Task Force on Enhancing Security for Special Events in the United States to discuss protecting FIFA World Cup sites, America250 and other large-scale events. Here is his full statement:

We’ve partnered with Digital Force Technologies to deliver an end-to-end counter-UAS kill chain that unifies our Leonidas high-power microwave platform with DFT’s Seraphim C2 and sensor fusion software. From detection through defeat, the joint counter-UAS solution will pair wide-area electromagnetic interference with AI-enabled decision making for a flexible, adaptable cUAS kill chain optimized for critical point defense missions.
