For example, a major event in the city can shift demand overnight, and the right pricing adjustment in that moment can significantly increase your revenue. It’s this ongoing optimisation that allows our properties to perform consistently, not just during peak season, but all year round.

Six markets on day one. Ambitious, or overly ambitious? A great panel with Felicitas Gartmann and S. Manoj Harasgama on scaling businesses internationally. Manoj shared sharp insights from scaling JOIN and Treatwell on what actually matters when entering new markets. As for us, launching GuestReady in six countries from day one reflected our clear ambition to build a global category leader. Today, we manage more than 4,000 units across seven markets, making us one of the largest short-term rental managers globally, with a team of 300+ people from 60 nationalities. It also stretched us to the limit in the early days. Operations, go to market, culture, regulations, everything at once, in multiple markets, with very little room for error. That pressure is exactly what led us to build RentalReady, a system shaped by running complex operations across different markets from day one. Would I launch in six markets at the same time again? Probably not. But it is also clear that we would not be the company we are today if we had not started this way.
