Today, Mathias Krause has submitted patches for the NVIDIA open gpu kernel modules that implement full Kbuild support, paving the way for CFI, KASAN/UBSAN, and our many compiler plugins. I recently completed a 5-month internship at Open Source Security, Inc., working on grsecurity. Over the last few months, I had the chance to contribute to a novel kernel feature that provides finer-grained, context-aware control over fragmentation in the Linux buddy allocator. This meant spending a lot of time testing, debugging, and diving deep into the internals of the Linux memory management subsystem. I am incredibly grateful that I got to collaborate with industry experts while actively brainstorming and developing new ideas together. I would also like to highlight the kind, friendly, and collaborative environment of the entire team, which made this an invaluable experience. Finally, a special thanks to Bradley Spengler for making this opportunity possible. It has truly been a blast! 😄
