Stack Exchange has finally introduced a new copy button on SO (example), and we can request to have it available on other SE sites:

We can also enable this feature on other tech sites that use code blocks, let us know here if this functionality would benefit other Stack Exchange communities.

Let's request to have it on Webmasters? Many posts have code blocks, that'd be convenient to have it.

Since we seem to have a sufficient number of upvotes (for our site), I left a comment on the related Meta Stack Exchange question here to request this since most answers there are primarily for bug fixes and improvements. Feel free to add another answer there however. Commented Nov 11 at 2:52
  • @dan: The best way to get this request on our radar is to simply add the [status-review] tag to this Meta post, which any Webmasters site mod can do. I've added the tag now. Commented Nov 14 at 17:14

Since it seems pretty clear from this post that this community has reached a consensus around enabling the copy button, I went ahead and turned this feature on for Webmasters SE. Happy webmastering!

Yes, I think we should request to have it on Webmasters. It would be helpful for things like Apache .htaccess & Nginx configurations, schema, and any HTML, JavaScript, or server-side code. That should help to cut down on typos in things like config files that we share, in which even a single missed character can result in a tough to solve server error.

It would also be nice to have new feature on the site, which we don't get very often :-)

I think if we get a few upvotes here, you could ask to request it on the Stack Exchange Meta site and add a link there back to this discussion, or I can do so if you prefer.
