The PHIT Workforce Development Program Concludes
After serving over 600+ students, with the support of the Assistant Secretary of Technology Policy (ASTP) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the PHIT program has concluded. As of September 2026, the Health Informatics minor is still offered to UC Irvine students. What is Health Informatics?
Health Informatics is about the application of information, technology, and computer science to address public health and health care. More than ever, informatics and technology will be a crucial part of addressing public health issues and inequities.
