The next generation of Apple Intelligence arrives in iOS 27, powering an all-new Siri AI experience and integrating deeply across apps that draw on your personal context to help you get more done, every day. Here’s a tour.

Powered by Apple Intelligence, Siri AI is an entirely new version of Siri that’s more personal, capable, and conversational than ever. With broad world knowledge, understanding of your personal context, and awareness of what’s on your screen, Siri AI helps you find what you need—whether a confirmation number from an old email or an up-to-date answer on virtually any topic—without pulling you away from what you’re doing. With the dedicated Siri app, you can have a back-and-forth conversation—or revisit past conversations and pick up right where you left off. And use “Write with Siri” to draft from scratch or get feedback on what you’ve written.

Siri AI also helps you search for content or take action in a variety of apps, whether you want to ask about your week’s workouts in SmartGym or find out if you hit your hydration goal in Waterllama. Try it with these great apps.

Apple Intelligence makes your everyday apps smarter and more useful. Safari supercharges your browsing by automatically organizing your tabs by topic, notifying you of changes to webpages (like price drops), and letting you create new extensions by describing them. The Shortcuts app can similarly create a shortcut based on your description. And Foundation Models are powering intelligent experiences in other apps—like Signeasy, which can summarize the key points of a contract, and Lumy, which can tell you which day this week has the longest golden hour.

By using Siri mode in Camera, Visual Intelligence can now help you with everyday tasks like getting nutritional information about your dinner or splitting the restaurant bill. When browsing apps, shopping for products, or scrolling through images, take a screenshot to ask Siri AI about anything on your screen, whether you want to find a mid-century lamp or add concert dates to your calendar.

Visual Intelligence also lets you search apps for content similar to what you see on your screen in apps like Google, Etsy, and Daydream.

Powerful new tools in Photos let you reframe a photo after it’s been taken with Spatial Reframing, expand your shots with the Extend tool, and remove even larger objects with the enhanced Clean Up tool.

A powerful update to parental controls helps parents manage what content kids can see, who they can communicate with, and when they have access to apps. Just like Ask to Buy for apps, the all-new Ask to Browse lets kids send a request for each new website they want to visit. Communication Safety expands its protections to help keep conversations safe, while the Time Allowances feature makes it easy to manage the time children spend in apps across categories, including entertainment, games, and social media.

Schedules let parents manage which apps kids can access at different times of day, across weekdays and weekends. And a redesigned Screen Time makes it easy to pause access, allow unlimited use, or adjust a schedule right when you need to.

Apple Intelligence is now powering accessibility features that users rely on for everyday tasks. VoiceOver delivers richer, more contextual image descriptions for users who are blind or who have low vision—covering receipts, bills, photographs, and more—with the ability to ask questions by tapping the Action button for instant answers about whatever is in the camera viewfinder. Voice Control lets users with physical disabilities navigate any app using natural language, simply by describing what they see on screen. And Accessibility Reader delivers a customized reading experience for a wide range of disabilities, with on-demand summaries and built-in translations.

Updates to Liquid Glass ensure exceptional readability with more uniform refraction and improved contrast. A new slider lets you easily customize how Liquid Glass looks, from ultraclear to fully tinted.

There are moments on a phone call when you need information buried in another app. Call Context proactively surfaces relevant details from across your apps when calling a business, like a hotel reservation or airline confirmation code from Mail. It uses the phone number you’re calling, not what you’re saying, to find what you need.

GymKit is now on iPhone, letting you get real-time metrics from treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and other equipment simply by tapping. You can also use your AirPods Pro 3 to track your heart rate while you work out. With watchOS 27, Workout Buddy keeps you motivated with real-time encouragement in a new language: Spanish. It also no longer requires an iPhone nearby, as long as your watch has cellular coverage.

These collections are built around your interests, complete with a note explaining why each app is being recommended to you. You’ll also discover apps through bigger, bolder visuals in product pages and in search results.
