CDT’s Working Group Calls bring together leaders from industry, trade associations, public interest organizations, academia, and the technical community to exchange perspectives and gain new insights on the most pressing challenges in technology policy. These meetings are designed to promote thoughtful, solutions-oriented dialogue and have a strong track record of identifying areas of common ground in complex and often contested policy environments.
The Working Group Calls provide structured opportunities for substantive discussion, a place for sharing research and expertise, and a venue to exchange practical insights across sectors. Each meeting is organized around clear objectives:
- To take stock of a recent news development;
- To present timely and relevant research;
- To equip participants with actionable information they can apply within their own organizations and networks; and
- To ensure that attendees leave with tangible value — whether in the form of strategic insight, policy clarity, or partnership opportunities.
CDT does not speak on behalf of Working Group members and participation does not imply endorsement of CDT’s views or positions. This structure allows participants to engage openly, learn from one another, and contribute ideas in ways that help all members do their work more effectively.
Working Group members also suggest topics and participate as speakers or presenters, sharing their expertise and perspectives with the broader community.
