Jensen has started raising long-term expectations again, trying to keep confidence high. But the market seems much less responsive than before. After the Marvell episode, where optimism helped fuel a rally before a sharp reversal, investors are treating management commentary with more skepticism.

For now, words matter less than execution. The next real move will probably need earnings, not speeches.

Alibaba - Short-Term Pressure, Long-Term Conviction

Alibaba’s share price has been trending lower since its recent share placement. It closed at HKD 105.10 today, down 1.04% and 13.85% over the past month.

My average entry price is HKD 113.52 and I am currently sitting at a 7.41% unrealised loss. But I am not worried at all by this short-term price movement.

I remain fully confident in the company’s long-term potential especially its massive investments in Alibaba Cloud and AI infrastructure plus Chinese government support to AI sector.

I believe these strategic bets will deliver strong, meaningful returns over time. Patience is key. 💪

$Sembcorp Ind(U96.SG)

Context: When I set out to build a more diverse portfolio, I wanted to branch out beyond the bank shares I was already holding. I turned my attention to the energy sector, looking for potential growth opportunities where I could secure future profits.

My trade: In the end, I decided to take a position in $Sembcorp Ind(U96.SG). As a blue-chip stock, I felt it offered the stability I was looking for.

Unfortunately, my entry timing was off. Shortly after I bought in, the share price dropped and has been moving sideways ever since.

Takeaway: Going into this trade, I thought that as long as I had the holding power to wait out a market dip, I could avoid taking actual losses.

On the other hand, I’ve realized that hoping a stock will bounce back is not a substitute for a disciplined stop-loss strategy.

Singapore stocks took a breather as Bank shares and even reits rose slightly after the official rate hike by the FED last night. I think Reits will start to stabilise for some time, but the worst is yet to be over as officials still want a consensus 1 more rate hike by this year.

$NVIDIA(NVDA.US)NVIDIA continues to attract attention as demand for AI computing and data-centre infrastructure remains strong. The company is still a major player in the global AI chip market, supported by its powerful GPU technology and CUDA software ecosystem. At the same time, competition is increasing, particularly from companies developing their own AI chips. Investors will continue watching NVIDIA’s AI demand, new product launches, and developments in the semiconductor industry.

$Keppel(BN4.SG)

Context: After six consecutive red days, Keppel finally registered a green day. The stock remains around the price level where I bought my second batch of shares, so I’m comfortable holding here. That said, its forward P/E remains elevated, so I’m still cautious at these levels.

My trade: Holding my position for now. If we see further declines to the $10 range, I’ll likely look to add to the position.

Takeaway: Further declines will bring Keppel to levels I’m comfortable accumulating at, but the elevated forward P/E means I don’t want to chase. That said, my longer-term view remains unchanged, so further weakness would be an opportunity to add.

Context: Real estate investment managers in Singapore are seeing renewed buying momentum as global interest rate easing expectations boost demand for asset management platforms.

My trade: Holding 1,000 shares of CapitaLandInvest (9CI) at an average cost of 2.500 SGD, capturing a solid recovery with an unrealized profit of +5.60% as the price rises to 2.640 SGD.

Takeaway: Next time, I will set a dynamic profit target around technical resistance levels to secure gains while leaving room for trend continuation.

So the FED does indeed raise its interest rate by 25basis points, looks like I was wrong about Warsh taking the risky stance of maintaining position. However, as expected, Trump took to social media to continue to pile pressure and express his desire for lower interest rate; this is the first time Warsh and Co took a decisive decision, let's see if they would continue Powell's legacy of maintaining independence or eventually succumbing to Trump's political will.

🌟🌟🌟Crypto investors had a setback today as the Clarity Act failed to pass through the US Senate. Immediately a cold shiver ran through digital asset stocks with $Circle(CRCL.US)plunging over 11% overnight.

What should investors do?

Step Away from Crypto Stocks: Do not rush in to buy the dip on companies tied to regulatory approval. When Circle dropped 11% because the legal future just got clouded, cheap can get a whole lot cheaper before it finds a true bottom.

Park in the Safe Haven VIP Lounge: Parking your money in ultra short term vehicles like $iShares 0-3 Month Treasury Bond ETF(SGOV.US)or $Vanguard 0-3 Month Treasury Bill ETF(VBIL.US)lets you earn a safe, risk free yield while the political storm rages outside.

My Take

The failure of the Clarity Act isn't a sign that crypto is dying. It is just a sign that Washington is not quite ready for the Clarity Act. Circle is still an incredibly cash rich business but it has been locked back in a regulatory penalty box.

Let the politicians do the wrangling, our job is to simply make sure our wallet survives the performance.

$TSLA 2X Long ETF(TSLL.US)

Context:

I already hold TSLA, but wanted additional leveraged exposure without simply adding more shares. TSLL targets 2x TSLA’s daily performance, so I see it as a tactical position rather than a long term holding.

My Trade:

I understand TSLL carries very different risks from owning TSLA. Daily resets and compounding mean long term returns can differ significantly from simply getting 2x TSLA’s return, especially during volatile markets.

That’s why I’m focused on position size and how the trade develops rather than treating every TSLA move as a reason to add.

Takeaway:

Leveraged ETFs provide more exposure with less capital, but they also require more discipline. For me, the key is knowing the role of the position before volatility picks up.
