OmmWriter para Mac

I owned both OmmWriter and OmmBits. Both are working very fine. But, there is always "a but", unfortunately there is a surprisingly annoying method on how to re-download (in case you uninstalled it for some reasons) or update it. The most painful one is when you want to update this app. No link, no notification, nothing. I've emailed the Dev several times and they told me that they will inform through email. Nothing. So, annoying. But I want to emphasi here that the app itself is working very fine. I can say, excellent.

I bought version 1.52 from the developer almost two years ago. How I can update to version 1.57 without buying it anew from the App Store is a great mystery.

WTF? You can't use the app without an account anymore? And the pages with terms and conditions and the statetements on privacy are missing. Does the developer really think that this generates trust? There's no information what the account is used for.

OmmWriter Version1.50 — Updated 23 Jun 2017 — Only external purchase. I went to the developer's home page http://www.ommwriter.com/ where the price is not $6.99 but a minimum of $7.11 and I paid that price because I prefer to buy directly and not through the App Store when possible. So they sent me Version 1.30 dated December 5, 2012, where there is no option "Check for updates". I feel I have been cheated!

This simple app keeps me writing, makes me *want* to journal, and in the meditative journaling, my life is noticeably better. Really. Simply taking time daily to write, to reflect, to appreciate does improve my life. This app makes me WANT to write... and I've been at it now for a month when, for years previously, I *intended* to write but never found the time. LOVE the included music. Some users are dismayed that the old music is no longer available with Ommwriter. I thought the same at first and purchased the old music online to play while using Ommwriter. Nope. After just one night, the old music, while nice, seemed to synthesized. Instead, the included peaceful environmental music is perfect. The only drawback is that this app is so conducive to putting me into a good writing place that I end up writing longer than intended. I also really miss the Ommwriting process if I miss a day or two. For the price of a coffee or two, you can't buy a better program for simple journaling - pure journaling. You can't go wrong if you have been wanting to journal but just couldn't do it. I now look forward to writing and the act of writing has made my life better. Simple, silly perhaps, and true.
