How it works

How this AI face rating works

There are no stranger votes and no photo upload. The model runs on your device.

  1. 1

    Choose one clear photo

Use a front-facing photo with one visible face, even light and a relaxed expression.

  2. 2

    Measure locally

A self-hosted face-landmark model maps visible points. Your image stays in browser memory.

  3. 3

    Read the result

See a PSL-style score, the measurements behind it and a clear explanation of the limits.

What we measure

Six measurements behind one score

The overall score is our own heuristic. The six measurements show how it was calculated.

Privacy you can verify

Private by design, not by promise

No upload

The browser reads the image locally. Neither the photo nor its landmarks are sent to our infrastructure.

No account

A free scan needs no name, email, login or public profile. There is no face database behind the tool.

Consistent results

The calculation contains no randomness. Submit the same photo twice and you will get the same result.

Photo setup matters

How to take a consistent face-rating photo

The tool measures the photograph it receives. Camera position can move the result more than small anatomical differences.

  • Face the camera

Keep both sides of the face equally visible and the lens near eye level.

  • Relax your expression

A neutral mouth and open, visible eyes make landmark placement more stable.

  • Use even light

Soft front light reduces the shadows that can hide the jaw or eye corners.

  • Step back from the lens

Very close wide-angle selfies distort the nose, midface and visible width.

  • Skip filters and obstructions

Remove sunglasses and avoid beauty filters, strong edits and hair over key features.

About the score

What a PSL score does—and does not—mean

It can summarize this tool’s geometry

The score combines six measurements using one disclosed product methodology. It is useful for comparing photos under similar conditions and seeing which measurements drove the result.

It cannot measure human attraction

PSL has no clinical or academic standard. A still image also misses expression, movement, voice, familiarity, style and culture. Treat the score as entertainment, not a final judgment.

All tools

Every free face tool on this site

Each tool runs the same private scan in your browser and explains one part of the visible geometry.

Free attractiveness test and face rating

Take a free attractiveness test and face rating using six visible measurements. Your photo is analyzed privately in your browser and never uploaded.

Free PSL score test and calculator

Take a free PSL score test using six visible facial measurements. The private online calculator runs in your browser and shows its workings.

Free facial symmetry test

Check facial symmetry from mirrored landmark pairs. The free test runs privately in your browser and explains what can distort the result.

Free canthal tilt test

Measure canthal tilt from a photo using the facial midline, not image horizontal. Free, private and calculated in your browser.

FWHR test: facial width-to-height ratio

Measure the facial width-to-height ratio from one photo in your browser. Conventions differ between tools, so compare one method only. Nothing is uploaded.

Gonial angle test and guide

Estimate the visible jaw angle from a front-facing photo and learn why it differs from a clinical gonial-angle measurement.

Free eye spacing test

Run a free eye spacing test in your browser. The interocular ratio compares inner-eye-corner distance with visible face width, and nothing is uploaded.

Facial thirds test

Measure the middle and lower facial thirds from one photo in your browser. A landmark model cannot locate the hairline, so the upper third is not guessed.

Free face shape test

Find your face shape from one photo. The browser measures forehead, cheekbone and jaw width plus face length, then names the closest of seven shapes.

Hunter eyes test: what a photo can measure

Run a free eye-area scan that measures canthal tilt and eye spacing in your browser, and learn which parts of the “hunter eyes” label a photo cannot score.

Golden ratio face test

Run a free golden ratio face test that measures six defined proportions in your browser. Your photo is never uploaded, and no phi formula decides the result.

FAQ

Common face-rating questions

Is this AI face rating free?

Yes. The composite PSL-style score is free, and two of the six measurements show their values for free. The $5 complete report adds the other four measurement values, their score contributions, personalized notes, the measurement overlay, an annotated PDF and one verification retake. Payment adds detail to the same deterministic analysis; it does not rerun or improve the rating. The $9/month toolkit remains an optional repeat-scan plan with unlimited reports and private local comparison tools.

Does my photo get uploaded?

No. The face-landmark model and the scoring code run inside your browser. The selected image is not sent to our servers or analytics.

How accurate is the face rating?

The geometry is repeatable for a clear, straight-on photo. The overall attractiveness score is still a heuristic, not a scientific or clinical measurement.

Will the same photo get the same score?

Yes. There is no randomness in the scoring pipeline. A different angle, expression, crop or camera lens can still change the measurements.

What photo works best?

Use one front-facing face at eye level, with a neutral expression, even light and no beauty filter, sunglasses or heavy obstruction.

What does a PSL score mean?

PSL is an informal rating convention from online appearance communities. It has no clinical standard, so the individual measurements are more informative than the headline number.
