HOW THE RESULT RESPONDS
The direction of a wish shapes its echo
After the willow breaks, AI interprets the intent of the wish and writes a unique fictional result. The system tries an OpenRouter free model first and uses the cheapest compatible paid model only when free inference is unavailable.
Positive wish, positive echo
Kind, healthy, constructive, proportionate wishes about learning, honest relationships, reasonable success, or helping others are not forced into a sinister twist. Their impact stays positive through growth, responsibility, connection, courage, or opportunity.
Excess creates a cost
A side effect is reserved for wishes involving harm, revenge, coercion, escaping accountability, unlimited wealth or power, or another clearly extreme, greedy, or impossible demand.
The willow gives. The willow takes. It never explains the exchange.

What is One Wish Willow?
It is a free browser-based 3D interactive story. You open a willow package, leave one wish, break the branch, and receive a fable-like outcome shaped by the theme of your words.
Is this fortune-telling or a real wish service?
No. One Wish Willow is a fictional art and storytelling experience. Its outcomes are for entertainment and reflection, not prediction, advice, or promises.
Can I complete the experience on a phone?
Yes. The layout is optimized for a single mobile screen and supports touch rotation, a leftward opening gesture, and a downward breaking gesture.
Do I need to allow microphone access?
No. You can type a wish and complete the whole experience. The browser requests permission only when you choose voice input, then places recognized text in the wish field.
Will my wish be made public?
It is not published. When you complete the ritual, the text is securely sent through the Site's Cloudflare Worker to OpenRouter to generate that fictional result. The Site does not use it to create a public profile or wish archive. Do not enter private or sensitive information.
