Spliit is a free and open source way to share expenses with friends and family — a Splitwise alternative that doesn't ask you to sign up, sit through ads, or pay to unlock what you need.

Splitting a bill after a trip, a dinner, or a shared flat should take thirty seconds. With Spliit, you create a group, share the link with the people in it, add expenses as they happen, and the app tells everyone who owes what.

Why we're raising funds

The public instance at spliit.app is free for everyone, and keeping it that way costs real money every month: hosting, the database, the domain, and the services behind features like receipt scanning. Your contributions cover those bills first. Anything beyond them supports the ongoing work of maintaining the project — reviewing contributions, fixing bugs, and building the features people ask for.

Funding Spliit here keeps it free, ad-free, and independent — with no investors to please and no reason to ever start charging people to split a dinner bill.
