Edit Photos with Text Prompts

Use the AI photo editor to work on the image you already have. Describe a specific change for a product listing, profile picture, or social post, and tell the model which details to keep.

Replace Backgrounds in Product Photos

Ask for a clean studio backdrop, a tabletop, or a different setting around your product. Specify the color, surface, and shadows you want. Check the edited image for changes to the product shape, labels, and logo before using it in a listing.

Remove Distractions and Adjust Objects

Describe an unwanted object and ask the model to replace it with the surrounding scene, or request a different color for a specific item. Start with one clear edit and inspect the result around edges and nearby details.

Change Photo Lighting and Style

Try softer light, warmer colors, or a film or watercolor look on an existing image. Describe the visual direction and what should stay recognizable. Compare variations to find the mood that fits your photo.

Edit Portraits, Outfits, and Profile Photos

Ask for a neutral background, a different outfit color, or softer portrait lighting. Tell the model to keep the face, pose, and hairstyle. AI may still change these details, so review the likeness and texture before sharing.

GPT Image 2.5 improves how familiar subjects carry through new settings, styles and edits. More natural lighting, richer textures and stronger editing consistency make it suited to refining portraits and product imagery. This model is not yet available in this editor.

  • Preserve distinctive subjects

Improved reference fidelity helps faces, products and other familiar subjects remain recognizable as their setting or visual style changes.

  • Render natural light and texture

Sharper details and richer textures support images with a more natural appearance, from skin and fabric to lighting across a scene.

  • Keep edits consistent

More reliable instruction following across successive edits helps retain the details you want to keep while refining the parts you want to change.

  • Balance speed and precision

The Flare version emphasizes faster everyday generation, while Sunburst prioritizes precision for detailed creative work with longer generation times.

How to Edit Images with AI

Edit Image
  1. Upload the Photo You Want to Edit

Sign in and upload a clear JPG, PNG, or WebP image. Use a product photo, portrait, illustration, or everyday snapshot with the details you want to keep visible.

  2. Describe What Should Change

Try “replace the background with a white studio wall and keep the product unchanged.” State the edit and what to preserve. Open Studio to review the image model, available settings, and required credits.

  3. Review and Download Your Edited Image

Generate the edit in Studio, then check the result for unwanted changes. Refine your prompt and generate again if needed, or download the version you like. Each new generation uses credits.

AI Image Editor FAQ

An AI image editor changes an existing picture based on written instructions. PicVane combines your uploaded image with a text prompt to generate an edited version. This Image to Image workflow starts from your photo, while text to image generation creates a new image from a description.

Choose Image in the homepage tool, sign in, and upload your photo. Describe one change and the details to keep, then open Studio. Review the model, settings, and credit cost before generating. For example: “change the jacket to dark blue; keep the face, pose, and background unchanged.”
