Products for devs are quite dead. SaaS for devs is dead. There are exceptions, though I think you have to extrapolate on variables that are not raw software. I have ideas and am implementing them. Mostly in private because building in public also can no longer be capitalized

my WHOOP subscription expired so i had codex reverse engineer it and build my own app - telemetry goes to my prometheus server - grafana and the app visualize it - hermes monitors metrics and plans workouts next wanna build my own Zwift and Strava the era of personal

I'm not saying replacing Steam is trivial but I am saying that a version of steam where I am not signed out of the website after 22 seconds would have a chance.

CEOs at companies with shareholders can NOT make decisions that may lead to outcomes that are negative for the company’s bottom line. Hence even though it seems bizarre they are asking the government to force them into decisions that are negative for the company’s income.

The AI CEOs are free to hobble or scuttle their own products if they feel they're so dangerous. They don't need the gov't. They don't need legislation.
