Before any feature ships, it goes through his hands — and trust us, nothing slips through. We sat down with Wafi to talk about life in QA: 💬 What made you choose QA over development? I chose the field of QA because I enjoy work that requires precision and analytical skills. I am interested in ensuring that a product or application functions according to user needs and meets high quality standards before being put into use. 💬 What's the most satisfying bug you've ever caught? One of the bugs that stands out most in my memory occurred while testing the leave request feature—specifically for requests requiring attachments. During regression testing, I discovered that under certain conditions, the attachment would disappear from the submitted request, even though I had uploaded it during the submission process. This bug only appeared when the request was made via a slow or unstable internet connection. Discovering this bug was particularly satisfying because, had the issue made it to the production environment, it could have led to leave requests being rejected for non-compliance with company SOPs. 💬 What's one thing developers could do to make QA's life easier? In my opinion, what helps QA work the most is when developers provide clear information about the changes made, including the scope of the changes and the areas that might be affected. Armed with this information, QA can design more accurate test cases and determine which areas need to be prioritized for regression testing. Quality isn't an afterthought at SIGMATECH.
