Meet the provost
The provost is the chief academic officer at Wayne State University and is responsible for all faculty matters, including hiring and promotion and tenure; issues concerning the instructional mission of the university; student performance and retention; and academic personnel and decisions, among other duties. The Provost oversees the academic mission of WSU, including the academic schools and colleges and their respective deans.
Initiatives
The Year of Focus is an annual initiative that highlights a single question or challenge, engaging the Wayne State University community through diverse events and discussions.
College to Career provides career-engaged learning opportunities to ensure that Wayne State’s students graduate career ready and prepared to thrive.
