Computer Society of India (CSI) is the oldest and largest organisation of IT and allied professionals in India. CSI is a non-profit professional society formed dedicated to Computing to exchange views and information, learn and share ideas. The wide spectrum of members is committed to the advancement of theory and practice of Computer Engineering and Technology Systems, Science and Engineering, Information Processing and related Arts and Sciences. CSI has a natural responsibility to play a pivotal role in shaping a Digital India. CSI's missions are (1) Facilitate Research, Knowledge Sharing, Learning and Career Enhancement among all categories of IT professionals. (2) Inspire, nurture and assist students to integrate into the IT community. (3) Percolate benefits of IT advancement to all sections of Indian Society.
Kolkata Chapter of Computer Society of India (CSI-KC) is functioning from 1965. CSI Kolkata Chapter is one of the oldest chapters of CSI in India. CSI-KC has more than 1000 Members in the Eastern Zone of India (Region 2). The Chapter has been regularly organizing workshops, Technical Lectures and seminars on current topics in Computer Science and Information Technology. Our goal is to facilitate Knowledge sharing among IT practitioners and researchers and to nurture students of this field and new entrants in the area of Computer Science.
