
Megan Bouldin assumed duties as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh in August 2024.
A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, she most recently served as Director of the Department’s 24/7 Bureau of Intelligence and Research Watch in Washington. Prior overseas assignments include Economic Counselor at U.S. Embassy Kyiv, Political-Economic Section Chief at U.S. Embassy Chisinau, and Deputy Political-Economic Section Chief at U.S. Embassy Yerevan, as well as tours in Iraq and Mongolia.
In Washington she also served as Deputy Director of the Office of East European Affairs and as a Watch Officer in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research Watch. She speaks Arabic, French, Mongolian, and Ukrainian. A native of Minnesota, Ms. Bouldin has an M.A. in International Affairs from Columbia University and a B.A. from The George Washington University after attending North Hennepin Community College.
