We sat down with BILANZ Wirtschaftsmagazin and Marc Kowalsky to share the story behind Cerrion. When Karim and Nikolay Kobyshev founded Cerrion, they had one mission: to bring the transformative power of AI to production. Most of what goes wrong on the factory floor goes unnoticed until the damage is done. Manufacturing needs to go from reactive to proactive. We built Cerrion to make that shift possible. AI agents that not only detect and respond to problems in real time, but also help teams understand why they're happening in the first place. Today, our platform is live in 60+ factories across the world. Our goal is to become the AI operating system for production lines. The new Siemens for the AI age.

Our CEO Karim Saleh recently spoke with BILANZ Wirtschaftsmagazin about our mission to eliminate unplanned downtime and safety risks in manufacturing through AI. It was great to discuss the problems production teams face every day, how we help solve them, and where Cerrion is headed.

It was a great few days in Bologna at Glassman Italy! It was wonderful connecting with so many of you in the glass industry and hearing about the realities of the production line firsthand. Those conversations reinforced how much early action, rapid response, and prevention matter in reducing downtime, quality escapes, safety risks, and waste. At our lounge, the only place we were happy to slow things down, discussions over cider explored how Cerrion’s AI Agents support real-time monitoring, trigger timely action, and help stop issues before they escalate. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, and to Glass International for bringing the industry together.

We’re heading to Glassman Italy 2026! Bologna. Stand C10. February 4-5. Glass factories run on precision, and the earliest signals of instability are often visual. At Glassman, we’ll be showing how Cerrion's AI Agents use video to detect and prevent process deviations, quality issues, and safety risks in real time. Our agents monitor critical areas from the shear platform to the palletizer, detect anomalies as they emerge, and trigger immediate action, helping teams prevent downtime before it impacts production. If you’re attending, stop by Stand C10 for a cider at our lounge and see our AI Agents in action. The only downtime we like is in our lounge, not on your production line. Want to plan ahead? From cameras to insights—driving the next wave of manufacturing intelligence. Excited to lead a workshop at Port Sunlight – Personal Care (PSL PC) on how AI‑powered vision analytics can deliver measurable impact on the shop floor. Last week, we brought cross‑functional teams together to explore how computer vision can unlock performance, quality, and safety across our lines. Partnering with Cerrion, we dug into a camera‑agnostic, integration‑ready vision platform—moving from discovery to value through quick iterations, live demos, and shop‑floor walk‑throughs. We focused on practical, real‑world use cases: 1. Spotting micro‑stoppages earlier to reduce losses 2. Supporting operators with timely insights that uplifts line efficiency and quality 3. Accelerating decision‑making with actionable analytics Huge thanks to Karim Saleh Mariano Perna for an energizing session and a collaborative deep dive on partnership and scaling. The momentum is real—and we’re ready to turn rapid experimentation into measurable outcomes across our manufacturing ecosystem. Grateful to Venkat Kartheek Thummala Bhaskar Das and Santiago Sexto Cancela for their vision and trust in empowering me to lead this initiative. Your leadership in driving digital transformation and fostering collaboration makes these breakthroughs possible. Detect sooner. Prevent faster. Scale what works. If you’re exploring computer vision in manufacturing, let’s connect. Last week I spoke with Colin Campbell and Axios about Cerrion's $18M funding round and what it means for western manufacturing - and especially U.S. manufacturing. This moment isn't just a milestone for Cerrion; it reflects a much larger shift underway. As the U.S. pushes towards reindustrialization, the factories that will win are the ones augmenting their workforce with AI-enabled automation. At Cerrion, we're not simply providing visibility. We’re deploying AI agents that work alongside teams: detecting emerging issues in real time, understanding process conditions, and taking action - whether that’s preventing downtime, reducing safety risk, or maintaining optimal quality. It's essentially adding an AI worker to every production line, 24/7. Reindustrialization will depend on unlocking capacity, improving safety, and building resilience. AI agents make that possible - and manufacturers adopting them today will define the competitiveness of tomorrow. Proud of what our team has built, and excited for the role Cerrion will play in shaping the next chapter of the industrial productivity.
