Clygro Website V7.5

Hello people, it has been 2 years since I introduced the blog and once again i have not posted in almost a year, thankfully since i have redesigned and cleaned up my website visually but also behind the scenes by putting certain assets folders and my website is now in a samba share which makes editing the website also significantly easier than before. The website design has still deviated from the original plan for the website as the navgation buttons were supposed to have a leather texture and they would be colour coded and they were pointy angled shapes.

Hello people, it has been a year since I introduced the blog, however I have not made any posts, so you might be asking "why is that the case?", the simple answer is I'm just really lazy, I did make an attempt to publishing the follow up blog post a while ago, but I forgot about it and never published it, this post is a whole net post by the way.

Introduction
Hello, I am Clygro, I am a fox thing that does stuff on the internet and mostly speaks on fedi.

Optimisation
What I've done
I used to live stream games every day starting in November 2020 and ending in November 2021 after live streaming every day for 365 days.
In 2023 I started to make daily videos available on my YouTube and PeerTube channels from January 2023 to February 2024,
the themes of these videos has varied, for the first month the videos were about old iOS devices,
after that I also started some other videos such as gaming videos with games such as Minecraft, GeoGuessr, Chronophoto and TimeGuessr which later moved to be on a separate channel,
after that I did content about PowerPC macs, Linux phones and other technology. I then did some on a Linux distro called Syhuu and Kitsune Web Browser however both projects are on indefinite haitus.
I now have been working on a game called Hayley & Ray (see below).

About this site
I've had a website give or take for about 8 years, but only really since 2021 have I had a proper website with links and other content. I have given the individual designs different versions, they are:
- V1 (2017) - I don't think this was actually ever published
- V2 (2018) - This was definitely published and then basically abandoned
- V3 (?) - Does V3 exist? Who knows
- V4 (2020) - 100% CSS Free!
- V5 (2021) - Initally was really ugly but this was my first proper attempt at doing proper CSS
- V6 (2022) - Never was the default page even though it had a good layout
- V7 (2024) - Originally made for a college project, I went really deep into CSS and really enjoyed making it Visit
- V7.5 (2025) - What you are seeing right now
The website is running on a Fujitsu Primergy TX140 S2 which has an Intel Xeon E3-1230 v3 CPU, 16GB of ECC 1600MHz DDR3 RAM and a 240GB SSD and a 2TB HDD. It is running Arch Linux because that's what I'm used to and for the most part it works. But if I were to reinstall I would probably try out Alpine Linux as it seems cool as it uses OpenRC. Unfortunately I currently do not have a static IP, so if the website is down, it's most likely because I haven't pointed my domain to the new IP, otherwise my services have a pretty good uptime, as of writing (2026-03-30) my server has a 65 day uptime.
I have been trying to optimise this website so it loads quicker and also try and make the layout more compatible with older browsers, however it's still not perfect as older versions of webkit (roughly pre iOS 9) have issues rendering this page correctly, however Internet Explorer 11 works correctly, hopefully I'll sort this out soon as I do want my website to have the correct layout for as many browsers as possible.
