Pretty Card

 A girlfriend sent me this pretty Christmas card over the holidays, you had to fold it towards you and push a tab at the back into another tab.  She said she had bought it at the Museum of Modern Art in Manhattan which she liked to visit whenever she was there.  

Paper straws and wooden cutlery

 I noticed McDonald's Canada restaurants now serve with wooden cutlery and paper straws, helping to eliminate all the plastic in our environment.  Even Walmart Canada is eliminating their plastic bags by April 2022.   It is the right thing to do although I do still line my household garbage bags with plastic.

Brazilian Cheese Bread appetizers

 

On our visit to Calgary last month, we went to Pampa Brazilian steakhouse and they served these delicious Brazilian cheese bread appetizers as pictured in the first photo.  I found the recipe on the back of a package of tapioca flour and made it.  They are so good, not to mention gluten free and easy to make.

What are your favourite gifts to receive

 I am participating in @alexandrasillos Instagram challenge #the25doorsofchristmas.  This is my ACEO (2 1/2" x 3 1/2"), showing a festive door in a minimalist style.

I realized that I really enjoy getting flowers or flowering plants as gifts.  I also seem to like collectibles as cluttery as they can be.  I thought I would ask you what your favourite gifts are.  Sometimes, like me,  it may not even occur to you what you really like.

I received a gift in this cute gift bag, I decided to keep it on display as a Christmas decoration.

I had a handful of jobs but the longest was 13 years, and you?

My profile says I worked for 20 years as a computer programmer/systems analyst.  7 of those years were with other companies, the longest I was at one company was 13 years.
