Connecting QB to a client facing portal..
Hi all—apologies if this has already been covered. I did a quick search but didn’t find anything that quite fits my situation. I’m a solo travel operator and have been using Quickbase for over 10 years to manage transaction accounting (air tickets, manifests, hotel stays, etc.). It’s been a great fit for how I run my business. Recently, my model has shifted a bit, and I now need to provide a client-facing portal for select clients. I know this can be done within Quickbase, but I’m looking for something that better aligns with my brand aesthetic and overall client experience. I’ve been testing Outportal and have already built a working version of the portal. I really like the look, feel, and functionality it offers. I understand this likely means going the custom API integration route, which I’m comfortable with. My question—before I go too far down that path—is this: Is there a similar solution that integrates more natively with Quickbase? Or is there a better approach I should be considering? Form Rules Problem With Hiding/Showing Pages
Hello, I've really been having a lot of problems with this, and I'm hoping you will be able to help. I created a form with 8 pages, to display pages as steps so customers can move from one page to the other after they have completed the current page, but when testing I discovered that an applicant can move from one page to the next without filling in any information in the fields, including fields designated as required fields. To prevent this, I created form rules mandating required fields to be filled in otherwise the all the subsequent pages would be hidden until all of those required fields are no longer blank, but that was not working properly. I previously built this out in the the expression builder, but during Office Hours I was recommended to try doing it in the formula builder, so this is what I now have (see attached Screenshot 1). What I really would like is for the form to prevent an applicant from being able to move from the current page to the next page unless all required fields on that page have been properly filled in. I also have a Cash Customer rule on page 3 if someone chooses "Cash/Credit Card" in the Request Terms field, I want to hide and unrequire pages 4-7 and have them jump straight to page 8 (pages 4-7 are not required for Cash/Credit Card customers), but if they choose "Credit Terms" then they need to progress through pages 4-7, but for some reason it's not working either and is causing conflicts with the other show/hide pages rules I'm trying to get working. (See attached Screenshot 2) On the advice of our esteemed Office Hours Sherpa, I created a simplified test form with only 3 pages, and created a form rule to hide page 2 unless all required fields on page 1 are filled in (see attached Screenshot 3). I also did the same Cash Customer rule as a test on page 1 so if "Cash/Credit Card" was selected it should skip page 2 and jump them straight to page 3, but if "Credit Terms" was selected it should progress them to page 2 (see attached Screenshot 4), but I can't get the form rules to work for this test form either. Your help would really be appreciated. Thank you.Problem with Type of Ownership Form Rules
Hello, I am experiencing problems with form rules not working properly. On the first page of the form, in the Business Information section, I have a section with a field for type of ownership, and then another field for ownership percentages. (See attached Screenshot 1) I have a form rule for the “Type of Ownership” field which is supposed to hide the Ownership Percentages section if that field is blank, and to only display that section if one of the three type of ownership options is selected (Form Rule # 1) (See attached Screenshot 2). Once that ownership type is selected, depending on if it is One Member, Two Members, or Three Members, various fields are to be hidden and values are to be populated/changed in the fields that are then displayed in the Ownership Percentages section (Form Rule #’s: 2, 3, & 4). The way the rules are supposed to work are as follows: • Form Rule # 2: When One Member is selected, display Ownership Percentage 1 field, populate the value of 100% in that field, and hide and unrequire Ownership Percentage 2 and Ownership Percentage 3 fields. (See attached Screenshot 3) • Form Role #3: When Two Members is selected, display Ownership Percentage 1 and Ownership Percentage 2 fields, populate the value of 0% in both of those fields, and hide and unrequire Ownership Percentage 3 field. (See attached Screenshot 4) • Form Rule #4: When Three Members is selected, display Ownership Percentage 1, Ownership Percentage 2, and Ownership Percentage 3 fields, and populate the value of 0% in all three of those fields. (See attached Screenshot 5) Currently when I select One Member in the Type of Ownership field, initially only the Ownership Percentage 1 field displays as the form rule dictates, but once you click in another field, the Ownership Percentage 3 field then also displays, which is not supposed to happen. If you change the type of ownership to a different value (e.g. Two Members, or Three Members), and then change it back to One Member, then once again only the Ownership Percentage 1 field displays, but once you click in another field the Ownership Percentage 3 field reappears. The same thing is happening if you select Two Members for the type of ownership, with that Ownership Percentage 3 field constantly appearing if you select Two Members for the type of ownership when it is not supposed to. I'm not sure why this is happening, as my logic seems sound. Your help would be greatly appreciated.Denver Qrew Launch
