25 years of art, community, and what comes next DeviantArt just turned 25(!), marking a quarter-century of connection, creativity, and innovation on the internet. Founded in 2000, DeviantArt was one of the very first online networks built specifically for creators. Long before “creator economy” became a buzzword, DeviantArt was already a place where artists shared their work and knowledge, found their audience, and built communities. Reaching this milestone prompted us to pause and reflect on what we’ve been building, how far we’ve come, and what it took to get here. And just as importantly, to look ahead. A few steps from the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame, deviants gathered for a DeviantMeet at historic EastWest Studios for an evening of inspiration, community, and art appreciation. Artwork provided by the community was hung on panels for all arriving guests to see while a curated playlist set the vibes for an energetic event. This, in turn, gives them access to fully take over their account.  What's changing To protect you, certain sensitive actions now require a security code (also called a one‑time password) sent to your email.  You’ll be sent this code when you:  Change the email address on your account or  Turn off password reset emails  This makes it much harder for a bad actor to fully lock you out, even if they get your password.  How a common attack works  Someone pretends to be DeviantArt staff, asks for your email or password “for verification” or tells you to change it to a specific one.
