The project aims to revolutionize the way musicians and artists create and share their Electronic Press Kits (EPKs).

👉 An EPK is a digital portfolio that showcases an artist's work, including their music, bio, press quotes, and more.

Our platform will automate the creation of EPKs, making it faster, easier, and more affordable for artists to promote themselves effectively.

Purpose:

The purpose of our project is to address the existing challenges in the music industry regarding EPK creation. Currently, artists often struggle with the time-consuming and expensive process of putting together EPKs, which hinders their ability to reach a wider audience and secure opportunities.

Our solution aims to streamline this process, empowering artists to focus more on their craft while still having an impressive and professional EPK.

Goals:

  • Simplify EPK creation: Our platform will provide predefined EPK templates and an intuitive user interface, allowing artists of all skill levels to easily create compelling EPKs without the need for technical expertise.
  • Enhance recommendations: By leveraging Pinecone's vector embeddings, our application will create a "memory" of song lyrics, artist bios, and press quotes. This will enable our app to make rapid and relevant recommendations, improving user experience and efficiency.
  • International usability: Through partnerships with Cohere and Zapier, our platform will offer translation capabilities based on audience analysis and automate the sharing of available EPKs, ensuring international usability and wider exposure for artists.
  • Maintain freshness and engagement: We will utilize AI-generated content that undergoes artist sign-offs and community reviews. This process, combined with weekly updates, will keep the EPKs fresh, accurate, and engaging for viewers.

  • Integration with leading AI and developer tools: Our platform will harness the capabilities of OpenAI and Hugging Face for tasks like artist bio generation and user query interpretation. Additionally, Vercel and AWS will handle deployment and backend infrastructure, ensuring a robust and scalable system.
  • Seamless music player integration: Artists can incorporate playlists from popular music streaming platforms and directly upload their own tracks, offering flexibility for profile creation and hosting links.
  • Focus on privacy and security: Our commitment to a robust privacy policy and clear terms of engagement ensures the safe handling of sensitive information like contact details and proprietary music files.
