Biomedical Imaging: Brain Tumor Detection

Inspiration

I learned that it takes 48 hours for a doctor to diagnose brain tumor in an MRI scan, which both takes up the doctors time, and puts the patient in a state of stress and worry for that time.

What it does

It takes in a picture of an MRI scan and detects whether or not there is a brain tumor.

How I built it

I used a neural network built with Tensorflow.

Challenges I ran into

Finding data was the hardest part of this project.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I’m proud that I was able to get a respectable amount of accuracy with my project.

What I learned

I learned how to find data and how to implement a CNN.

What's next for Brain Tumor Detection

I will try to make it detect what type of brain tumor is in the MRI scan.
