Inspiration

I like to laugh a lot at things. I was thinking it'd be funny if AI was prompting us humans to create things. I kind of imagine this game being a tool for AI to secretly learn human emotions and to train their AI souls.

What it does

Crapt Parts is all about creative assembly and managing resources. It's kind of a peaceful relaxing game about working with creative constraints. The idea is that humans will be given different prompts in order to compete with others in a creative arena of constraints. Players have a limited budget to spend on images in order to use in their creation.

How we built it

I pretty much used Bolt, Devvit, Figma, MidJourney and my ipad to build this.

Challenges we ran into

There's certainly some challenges in learning how to communicate with AI. My hope was to focus mainly on design and let the AI handle everything else, I realized I needed to spend a lot of time vibe coding and holding the AI hand.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm pretty pleased at how hands off I was with the code. I just kind of had an idea and ran with it. It's fun to see it come to life.

What we learned

There's a lot to do. The workflow for some of these creations is really powerful.

What's next for Crapt Parts

I love the UGC. It'd be great to get that sharing working better. The ability to challenge friends or have special modes would be fun. Adding a lot more funny ai images to work with would add a lot to this and having fresh images to browse through will be some features to look out for. It'd be fun to allow people to submit images or prompts for the humans. Oh, also I 'd love to get this working on mobile.
