Inspiration

The idea just came naturally to one of us

What it does

It suggests the user an outfit to wear based on the weather. At first, the user has an empty wardrobe. He or She can add up the outfits in the app by taking picture of them with their cell cameras. Users can also enter places like Montreal or Cuba, then the app will suggest outfits based on the temperature.

How we built it

We made use case diagram, enumerate various scenarios, discovered and learned to use the tools during the actual event (live) and we worked on the development during the whole night

Challenges we ran into

To work while being tired and without sleeping at all in more than 24 hours, lots of obsolete codes and incompatibility issues of the development tools.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We learned a lot about technologies not taught at our school, in just one weekend. We are all beginners with Apple development and for most of the team, this app is our very first iOS/Apple development experience, so imagine how much of a success it is (regardless of winning any of this hackatown prize) : ) XD ^^

Made some memories with friends :) while getting to know a little bit better about how they work in team

What we learned

To develop iOS app (at least an intro) :) with Swift and we got more experiences working together

What's next for DressMeUp

Maybe a lot: add the option to choose if the user is a girl, man, a boy because right now it is made just for women (considering the deadline); Allow users to share their proposed outfits on facebook; Suggest outfits based on events(wedding, party, ...), color matching, etc...
