Inspiration
Most of the time, when we go to airport and we have a lot of connecting flights we do not know the tracking information about our luggage, same with hotels when hotels have a sperate room for big luggage, this application solves this problem without customer doing anything from this side.
What it does
The application, with allow the person to generate a QR code which will later can be printed and then allows it to scan, through which the location of luggage can be updated every time the stuff moves, it will send a notification to the owner of luggage.
The app will also be able to scan the existing code and update the information, and also it will be also easier to notify the owner if luggage is found in Lost & Found Department.
- A feature which can be implemented is that, it can use the pre-existing luggage tag which is placed by the airport checkin, through which the information can be used such as email or phone number and this application will notify the owner about its information.
How we built it
Flutter for the UI.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges I ran into was that my wifi broke down, so without internet I wasn't able to work, and it came back just 1 hour ago and I built with mockup within one hour so it does not have much of a functionality but it is running in an emulator to see the functioning of the basic UI and how things are going to work.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
That within one hour I was able to implement the UI into flutter and submit the project.
What we learned
This was my first time building something for a wearable technology so got to learn a lot about this.
What's next for Find My Bag
I actually plan to take this project to the next level, because I didn't have much time during the hackathon because of some unfortune circumstances.
Built With
- dart
- flutter
