Inspiration
MediQueuer was inspired by personal experiences of long wait times at walk-in clinics, where patients often spend hours in crowded waiting rooms. We recognized the need for a solution that prioritizes patient time and comfort while ensuring access to necessary healthcare.
What it does
MediQueuer allows patients to join walk-in clinic queues from home, providing real-time updates on wait times and notifications as their turn approaches.
How we built it
We developed MediQueuer using a user-friendly web application framework.
Challenges we ran into
One major challenge was ensuring data security and compliance with healthcare regulations while storing sensitive patient information. Additionally, we faced hurdles in building partnerships with local clinics to integrate our system effectively.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We developed a partially functional prototype of the app using HTML, CSS and JS.
What we learned
We learned the importance of user-centered design in healthcare applications and how to navigate the complexities of data privacy.
What's next for MediQueuer
Moving forward, we plan to allow users to select personal preferences, enhancing their healthcare experience.
