Inspiration
Recently, I travelled back to 1783 to see Delhi cross the Red Fort, Bad idea- I nearly died of going to the wrong place. Since I, as a shorts-wearing person was not acceptable. Even worse, no shops would accept my ₹ 1000 to buy a bowl of Kabuli Chana! What is the point of visiting Delhi if you can't properly enjoy the food you've heard so much about? They didn't even have Kabuli Chana!!! Who could have possibly known this would happen?!? If only I had thought of those annoying details beforehand...
What it does
Enter your destination, desired time and budget, and Mr Paradox will share his experience of travelling to that time and what happened.
How I built it
Fueled by my anger in 1783, I retrieved and displayed historical data on my website with the WolframAlpha API and used Gemini to become a paradox brain.
Challenges I ran into
I had difficulty figuring out how to handle and properly display the API data in CLI. I also struggled with constantly reminding myself of my humiliation after showing up to the Crossing of the RedFort in shorts and a t-shirt.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Working with WolframAlpha's API and Gemini (well, any API) for the first time! Developing a CLI tool that solves a real, highly pressing problem!
What I learned
I learned how to work with an API and how to ReACT promoting working in LLM. Also, I realized that Red Fort was built in 1639 where shot-wearing people were not welcomed.
