Next.js and Sapper are both popular MIT licensed web frameworks to build high performance scale able applications. Next.js being from the Javascript family has a bigger environment where as Sapper being from the Rust family lacks in this aspect. Next.js has more than 3000 compatible stacks whereas Sapper has only a handful of these. Next.js has many power features to it. Most important feature being its flexibility with React.js and Typescript. Even though Sapper has been around for a while it was not able to gain enough trust and popularity due to lack of Rust programmers. Only perk with Sapper is its lightweight and speed as compared to Next.js, but these perks are only with a tradeoff in number of features. Comparison between two isn't even a valid game as Javascript developers can't use Sapper and Rust ones can't use Next.js .
