Inspiration
Have you ever walked home from somewhere a little unsafe and felt scared? Well this app aimed to make the user feel safe when walking home from a place they are not familiar with during any time of the day.
What it does
When the the app is enabled, and the code word is said. The app automatically yet discretely call the Toronto Police. When the code word is said, the app starts recording what is happening around the victim and sends the location of the caller at that moment as well.
How we built it
We built the app on android studios, VTS was done using Google. The prototype design was made using figma.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many challenges on our StarterHacks journey. One of them was trying to learn and implement Google Voice to Text (VTT) into our app.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
We are very proud on the outcome of our project. Especially since we learned and used new applications for this hackathon.
