Platforms like Monday represent an excellent solution for today's work environment. We wanted to make a simple, yet powerful tool that empowers equally small and big companies.

What it does

Trendo's Weekly Report uses the api key of a given user to extract relevant info from all the workspaces and generate a PDF report.

How I built it

We used python to extract and format the information of the user. To make the application easily accessible we used flask to build a rest-API.

Challenges I ran into

Query the information of each workspace using Monday API v2 was very straight forward. The pdf report design was a challenge because we want it to be very aesthetical.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud that all team members contributed to the project, even if they were not present in all different stages of it.

What I learned

I learned to use Monday's API and to think in a user-centric way. Also, I reinforced the use of different tools and technologies

What's next for Trendo's Weekly Report

There are many upgrades that could be easily implemented, some of them are:

  • Mount the application in google cloud service.
  • Send report via email.
  • Modified how much activity does the report includes. It can transformed into a bi-weekly, monthly, or yearly report.
  • The amount of info could be made customizable.
